My family first moved to Horley, Surrey in 1964. At the time, I was a cocky 19 years old with some good results as a junior, including a couple of wins. Looking back from 2020, I used better training techniques but I was also very busy: We had two children to look after, I had a full time job, and with Kathryn we were running both bed & breakfast and setting up an independent hostel.
